2009 HOTEL INFORMATION

The Seaport Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts will host the 36th Annual Meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery.  On behalf of our meeting attendees, the special rate of $259 has been secured over the dates of the meeting (plus applicable state and local taxes - currently 12.45%).  All reservations must be made by Tuesday, September 1, 2009 (5:00 pm EST) to guarantee the group rate.  After this deadline, or if the NESVS block of rooms sells out prior to the above mentioned deadline, availability and rate cannot be guaranteed.

2009 POSTGRADUATE COURSE

The 2009 Postgraduate Course entitled "Vascular Emergencies" will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm (by separate subscription).  To view the Postgraduate Course outline and faculty, please click here.

2009 ANNUAL MEETING REGISTRATION

Registration for the 36th Annual Meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery to be held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts (October 2-4, 2009) is now open.  Registration can be completed online, or by downloading the Meeting Registration Form and faxing it to the NESVS Administrative Office (978-744-5029).  The pre-registration deadline for the Annual Meeting is Wednesday, September 16, 2009.  After this deadline, all individuals must register onsite at the Seaport Hotel during posted registration hours.

2009 STUDENT INITIATIVE PROGRAM

As part of an ongoing effort to encourage students to explore vascular surgery as a specialty, the New England Society for Vascular Surgery established a sponsorship program to enable medical school students and residents to attend the Annual Meeting of the Society.  Sponsorships are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis, divided evenly between medical students and general surgery residents, as well as fairly distributed among the various institutions within the region.  Medical students and residents (PGY 1-3) attending an accredited program in one of the six New England states are eligible for sponsorship.  Fellows are not eligible.

All applications for sponsorship must be received no later than Friday, August 21, 2009.

2009 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

The New England Society for Vascular Surgery abstract submission site is now closed.  If you successfully submitted an abstract by the Wednesday, May 6, 2009 deadline, your abstract will be reviewed by the NESVS Program Committee and considered for the 36th Annual Meeting to be held in Boston, Massachusetts (October 2-4, 2009).  Notification will be sent to each abstract contact by late June.

2009 EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

The Annual Meeting of the New England Society for Vascular Surgery is designed to provide three days of comprehensive educational experiences in the fields of vascular surgery and disease, related sciences and socioeconomic aspects of vascular surgical care.

It is the Society's intent to bring together surgeons, physicians and scientists from New England to freely and openly discuss their latest clinical and research findings.  Further, the Society augments this experience with invited speakers and panelists from throughout North America to give presentations on current controversies or topics of discussion within the vascular community.
